Life is not fair. It never has been and it won't ever be. We are all living, breathing human beings, given opportunities to make something of ourselves every single day. Rick and Teresa talk about how we should not fall into the trap of waiting for fairness or feeling like we are victims. We must stop looking at all the “crimes" against us, as they will only disempower us. Don’t view someone who is more successful than you as lucky. Success takes work and great opportunities aren’t just going to fall into your lap. Life is a gift and we must change our perspective from a taker to a maker. Surround yourself with solid people, who will hold you accountable to positivity, motivation, and growth, and people that will let you know if you’re slipping into the wrong mindset. Do the same in return for those people. Stop waiting for opportunities and create them!
