We can always use morelight. When reading or working, we couldalways use more light. Darkness is notthe opposite of light, it is the absence of light. You can't buy a flashlight that projectsdarkness. You turn the flashlight off to get darkness.
The world we live in needs morelight. It is dark in its sins. What makes sin dark? It is the absence of God.
We cannot spiritually producelight. Without God and his Word, wecannot tell what is what. It is alldarkness. God in his Word announces tous that Your Light has come!
In the writings of the Old Testament prophets, there are times when two thoughts are present in the same words. Being inspired by the Holy Spirit, the prophets frequently superimposed one idea or event on top of another. A spiritual truth is superimposed on a physical or historical event.
