In March 1998, 10-year-old Natascha Kampusch was abducted on her way to school in Vienna, Austria. She would not be seen in public again for more than eight years.

Held captive in a hidden basement by Wolfgang Přiklopil, Natascha endured unimaginable isolation and abuse. During her 3,096 days in captivity, she was cut off from the outside world, surviving in a small, windowless cell. Her eventual escape in August 2006 stunned the world and raised haunting questions about survival, trauma, and resilience.
