  1. Number 1: Adam Hall: The Predator Who Weaponised His Own Health

This week on Seeing Red, we investigate the chilling case of Adam Hall – a man whose crimes would leave a devastating trail across the North East of England. Behind closed doors, Hall was hiding a secret from the men he met. But as disturbing allegations began to emerge, investigators would uncover something far more calculated – and far more horrifying – than anyone had initially imagined. What followed was an extraordinary investigation involving multiple victims, allegations spanning years, and the discovery that Hall had been warned about the potentially devastating consequences of his actions. Just how many lives had he changed? How much did he know? And, most chillingly of all, why did he do it? This is the shocking story of Adam Hall – and the investigation that exposed the truth. 2. Number 2: The Summerland Disaster: The Isle of Man Fire That Killed 50

On 2 August 1973, thousands of holidaymakers were enjoying an evening at Summerland, a vast state-of-the-art leisure complex on the seafront in Douglas, Isle of Man. Within minutes, it had become the scene of one of the deadliest fires in modern British history. What began as a small fire outside the building spread with terrifying speed, fuelled by highly combustible materials used in Summerland's construction. As flames engulfed the complex, families desperately tried to escape. By the end of the night, 50 people had lost their lives and scores more had been injured. But the Summerland disaster was more than a tragic accident. Questions would soon emerge about the design of the building, fire precautions, evacuation procedures and a catalogue of decisions that had left thousands of people dangerously vulnerable. This week on Seeing Red, we revisit the devastating Summerland fire: how a holiday attraction billed as a futuristic paradise became an inferno, the lives lost that night, the investigation that followed, the eye witness testimony from survivors, and why one of the worst peacetime fire disasters in British history has largely faded from public memory. http://www.youtube.com/@seeingredtruecrimepodcast www.patreon.com/seeingredpodcast https://www.buymeacoffee.com/seeingredtw www.seeingredpodcast.co.uk Theme music arranged and composed by Holly-Jane Shears: www.soundcloud.com/DeadDogInBlackBag Join our Patreon Find us on YouTube Buy Me a Coffee Visit our website Theme music by Dead Dog in Black Bag Hosted on Acast. 3. Number 3: Lockerbie Revisited: The Bombing of Pan Am Flight 103

On 21 December 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was flying from London to New York when a bomb exploded on board as the aircraft passed over the Scottish town of Lockerbie. All 259 passengers and crew were killed, along with 11 people on the ground. With 270 lives lost, the Lockerbie bombing remains the deadliest terrorist attack ever carried out on British soil. But nearly four decades later, the story of Lockerbie is far from over. As the case returns to the headlines and a new trial approaches in the United States, we revisit one of the most significant and complex stories ever covered on Seeing Red. Who was responsible for the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103? How did investigators piece together an extraordinary international investigation from the wreckage scattered across hundreds of square miles? And why, 38 years later, do questions surrounding Lockerbie continue to provoke controversy? As Seeing Red marks its eighth anniversary, we're looking back at some of the cases that have stayed with us long after we first covered them — beginning with a tragedy that changed hundreds of families, a small Scottish town, and the history of international terrorism forever. This is Lockerbie. http://www.youtube.com/@seeingredtruecrimepodcast www.patreon.com/seeingredpodcast https://www.buymeacoffee.com/seeingredtw www.seeingredpodcast.co.uk Theme music arranged and composed by Holly-Jane Shears: www.soundcloud.com/DeadDogInBlackBag Join our Patreon Find us on YouTube Buy Me a Coffee Visit our website Theme music by Dead Dog in Black Bag Hosted on Acast.
