"When the mob, the press, and the whole world tell you to move; your job is to plant yourself like a tree by the river of truth, and tell the whole world, "No, you move."
Happy 4th of July Nerd Nation! It's been a while. Thank you for being patient during The Duke's hiatus. This episode is not like some. Not a lot of flare in it. Just conversation. In this episode, The Duke talks about some of the more exciting things going on in the nerd world and also about The Star Spangled Avenger himself...Captain America.
In these dark times of injustice and hate, the quote above spoke to me when doing research on Cap. Speak out, speak up, fight the injustice. That's what Cap would have done. After you listen, please let me know what you think. What do you think Cap would think of the landscape of our country and even The World today? The show will be back to a regular schedule next week. Thanks for tuning in Nerd Nation. Cheers To Ya!

Well another WrestleMania has come and gone. This one may be the most historical Mania of all time, but not for the reasons it normally would be. We saw Edge return, two massive title changes, and so much more. Well we streamed. For the first time in the 36 year history of The Showcase of the Immortals, WrestleMania was shown in front of an empty arena.

There was an idea... a passion project celebrating Nerd Culture with"southern charm". After nights of planning, thinking, throwing around ideas and suggestions... an image began taking shape as the 30&Nerdy Podcast. What started as friends discussing their favorite comics, movies, and games quickly resonated with listeners who appreciated the authentic enthusiasm and unique southern perspective on all things nerdy. The podcast created a welcoming community where being passionate about traditionally "nerdy" interests was celebrated rather than stigmatized. Then a community began. Then growth happened. Then we had to become something more.
From these humble beginnings, 30&Nerdy Podcast became Studio 66, then from those ashes; Nerdy South Entertainment. It has turned into something far more expansive than its founders could have imagined. The brand grew beyond audio content to encompass convention appearances, merchandise lines, community events, and expanded media offerings that connected fans across the southern states and beyond. What makes Nerdy South Entertainment special is how it's maintained its authentic voice and community-centered approach while growing into a recognized platform that bridges southern culture with the wider world of fandoms, proving that nerd culture thrives everywhere, including... The Nerdy South!
