Okay, so we need to understand that Alison is FULLY an alcoholic and she is now running down strange kids biking through Los Angeles at night. But do not even think about questioning the parenting involved - the kid had a helmet! Also Alison has a bad influence, Zach, who is enabling, justifying, and otherwise supporting her downward spiral.
Billy and Susan invite Alison to Thanksgiving dinner, and opt for an intervention instead. It goes as well as you'd expect, especially if you were part of the Moral Majority of Two.
Amanda and Peter continue their scheme to replace Bruce at D & D Advertising for reasons that are not fully explained.
Matt's parents tell him Jeffrey can come to Thanksgiving, but only if Jeffrey is introduced as a good friend. Alert to parents of gays everywhere: no one has ever been tricked by the "my good friend is coming to a major family holiday" line.
But, perhaps most importantly for the next few episodes: Jo agrees to let Kimberly deliver and declare her baby dead. Over a cranberry juice cocktail, no less! Somehow, I think Kimberly is going to get her stupid baby.
