Kenny Vance was one of the founders of Jay and the Americans. Later, he served as music director for Animal House, Eddie and the Cruisers and more - namely though, the first one - American Hot Wax. Kenny also appeared in the movie as Professor La Plano leader of The Planotones. In 1992, Kenny formed the no longer fictitious group, The Planotones and are touring to this day.
