Yes, you read that right. It's okay to take A BREAK sometimes. This episode we explore why self care is important, the mindset around self care in our culture, and how to actually...take care of yourSELF. We give so much to those around us, and seldomly (and without guilt) take the time to make sure we are our best self.

We don't encourage abandoning your most important commitments and responsibilities. But in these trying times, you're already home all day, why not sneak in some time for yourself?

Inspired to be a part of positive change here is my pledge and initiative to be the change I want to see. Now more than ever we need dedicated change agents to bring PERMANENT change to our people. Let's bridge the gap. Let's do our part to bring justice to the voiceless. How long can we wait?

I can't make others act, but I can do my part to use my platform to be a part of something bigger than my little bubble of life. I encourage you do the same. No matter how small. Even if it's a petition signature, a vote, or a donation. It can really lift these heavy feelings of sadness or frustration. Take the leap.

Sometimes we forget that our perspective on things can set the momentum for our outcome. Is is the argument of nature versus nurture? Are we hard wired to think the glass is half empty? Can we change that outlook?

As with anything, I think changing our mindset takes work. The greats we all come to know and praise do so. How come we can't do the same for our goals? Gratitude is truly and attitude--and a positive one at that. It can open doors that you never thought would open, just because your mind said you could do so. You told yourself that it could be done, so you looked, for alternative ways it could be done.

Gratitude and thankfulness are just the first steps of many, but it's definitely the best step to take for success. In this episode we will take a look eight ways you can kick start your new lifestyle with focus, gratitude, and perseverance.

Although we want to bring to the table awareness, we also should want to educate ourselves, practice responsible self-care methods, and use facts to keep us grounded. Let's change our mindset surrounding difficult times, because they will come and go--what matters is our reaction. I want to change our mindset to one of surplus, of having what it takes, focusing on what we do have, even when it seems like the odds are stacked against us. Easier said than done, I know, but we will get through our challenges, like we always have before. We are forged through fire.

Finding your purpose can be a challenging road. On this episode I will detail the tools I used when I initially started my journey to finding my purpose. I found it a relief to know that there are resources available to us to do just that, but so many of us don't know it's available.
