In this episode I am joined by BAI therapist Nate Geyer. I got to work one on one with Nate while I was at BAI in 2021 and again in August of 2022, and like Matt Wenger, Nate is exceptional at what he does. Nate shares his story from growing up with the struggle of two stories, the first story being what's on the surface and the story that is inside which is a story that is created by our own mind and tells us we are alone. Nate talks about what led him to BAI and what he discovered about himself through his own trauma work. In one way our trauma is like a car that is on fire and inside that car is our little kid trapped, my addiction only pulls him out temporarily only to drop him right back off inside of that burning car. Its my job through my recovery to rescue that little kid once and for all. I hope you enjoy listening to this episode as much as I enjoyed being a part of it. Thanks so much for joining me on my journey!
