Would you rather live in bondage or to be FREE? Duh… that's a no brainer. However, many Christians struggle in their daily lives with getting free and staying free. These struggles for freedom can range from sexual sin like pornography or fornication to other things like addiction, anger, greed, abuse or simply following through on your word. All of these things affect our relationship with God and lead us into bondage.
Through Jesus's ultimate sacrifice, He set us free from the bondage of the law. So, we no longer live according to the bondage of sin (the flesh), but we live according to the Spirit. When we are walking in the Spirit, we honor and obey the law.
In this episode, Kim reveals a pattern in scripture to use as a template to freedom that you can overlay for your own lives. She describes this pattern or template on how it works, what are its components, and how can we apply it and achieve long-term results.
Grab a computer or pen and paper. You might want to take your own notes.
The Pattern for how God brings freedom in our lives:
The Truth -> The Law -> The Violation -> The Judgment -> The Penalty -> The Mercy -> The Work
Biblical examples where this pattern is revealed in the lives of Jesus, Adam & Woman, David, Miriam, Ananias & Sapphira, and Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego.
When you are able to apply this pattern, you will be able to know where you/ others are in the pattern; it will increase the effectiveness of your prayers; and, understanding the pattern places us (and those we are praying for) in a posture of humility before God.
