#325 Wild and Crazy Weapons of War

Listen Later

Wild and Crazy Weapons of War are unexpected, unpredictable, unconventional yet extremely potent. Last week's teaching explained the importance of the Armor of God as described in Ephesians 6. This episode describes the weapons of war that are not typically thought of when going into battle with the enemy, but they are equally important for Christians.

Why wild and crazy? Because the enemy depends on us being predictable: doing the same things in the same way all of the time. Examples include things like prayer and political activism which Christians today are doing more now than ever. So, ask yourselves: Unto themselves, are these conventional weapons working today? Are they effective?

Key takeaways:

We cannot fight with the worlds weapons and expect to win. If we play by the world's rules, language, and narrative; we may win some battles, but ultimately we will lose! YOU are the weapon that God wants to use for His glory. God is NOT trying to improve who you are. He is trying to change you so that you will be compatible with Jesus Christ, to be equally yoked with the Groom. God needs our soul (mind, emotions & will) in order to do that.

In today's teaching, Kim shows us in scripture the arsenal that God wants to use in us at His discretion. This arsenal includes the fruits of the Holy Spirit (specifically self-control, patience, and wisdom) that Paul wrote to the Church in Galatia.
