Welcome Back Friends!
This week is a bit of a heavier one but still a really important topic to discuss. Not everyone is willing to share but I decided to share my current feelings and emotions related to loss, grief, sadness. October was filled with the loss of 2 Grandparents which meant attending two funerals and seeing many old faces. One was my Step-Dad's Father, and the other was my biological Dad's Father who passed at the age of 92. The second one was the harder one for me and I just couldn't get my head out of my current state to record anything else, so I brought it here to the table to talk with you all.
My hope is that it can help anyone who just needs to be validated in their feelings, to be heard, and a safe space to come process thoughts and feelings. I have come to find that grief is not linear, it is not predictable, and much of the processing never actually happens at the funeral, it's in the days after.
With the recent loss of my Grandpa Lubben, it opened A LOT of my past and now that I know a bit more of my life history and story I was able to process this through an adult mindset and it was harder. A big chapter in my past life has finally just come to an end and boy is it quite a unique story. If anything I know I had to do this podcast even if it were for me to just process out loud. I felt wayyy better after and like a weight was lifted. May my story, experience, and perspectives bless you this week.
Hugs,
Gabby
