Talitha is a Hynotherapist, Counsellor & Nutritionist.

In this episode, Talitha and I chat the broad range of what disordered eating can look like -  from anorexia to comfort eating. Talitha shares with us her own recovery from anorexia as a teen, and how she uses Hypnotherapy now to help her clients overcome binge eating, night eating, anorexia, bulimia and so on.

We chat about how as a society we have not been taught to feel and express our emotions, or even to ask for help, so instead we turn to substances, distractions and food to help soothe us. We touch on the the power of the subconscious, but also the self destructive power of shame and guilt.

Talitha gives us steps as to what people can do right now in quarantine, if they are feeling triggered, and finding it difficult to break out of binge eating cycles.
