In this episode, we answer a listener's question from the THRIVE Conference we presented at in Salt Lake City, UT.  The woman asks:

"I was always taught that men can't be happy in a marriage where they are not the leader.  I was taught that a strong woman emasculates a man.  I saw my husband blossom when given leadership roles in the church.  I am a strong, opinionated woman.  My husband claims he is fine with it, but am I slowly destroying my marriage because I won't be submissive?  Can a man raised in patriarchy still feel like a real man in an equal-partnership marriage?  How can I build my husband's ego outside of the church?  I am so happy of of the patriarchy, but is he?  Really?  He's so kind and loving that he would never fight for his own needs and I don't want him to have to.  Can anyone relate?"
