33: on legacy and fun

Listen Later

Amanda was one of the wonderful mums that completed the first round of my Planned & Present e-course. Not only did she make some wonderful and sustainable changes to her life through out the course, but she was an encouraging, thoughtful and responsive member of the private facebook group.

I loved chatting to Amanda and having the opportunity to discuss with here amongst other things:

  • How she parents her two teenager daughters
  • How she transitioned to living in Karatha, an isolated city, located approximately 1,500 kms north of Perth and 850 kms southwest of Broome
  • The impact her mother's death had on her and the changes she made
  • Her love of mountain bike riding
  • How she makes sure there is time for fun every single day
  • Amanda also runs retreats in the Karatha area which include mountain bike riding, yoga, meditation and wonderful food. You can find out more at The Lilac Lounge.

    Mentioned in this episode:
    • Buddhism for Mothers series of books by Sarah Napthali
    • Planned & Present e-Course (and I promise I didn't pay her to say it!)
