In our previous episode we discussed about the pros and cons the movie Crazy Rich Asians brought to the table and what the impact meant for an overhaul of the perspective of Asians abroad and Asian-Americans alike. While East Asian-Americans held a majority of the spotlight throughout Hollywood, the darker shades of our Southeast Asian brethren took to the shadows and the supporting roles we know today. Today we have on the show my colleague (and friend) Viknesh who is an independent Asian-American Filmmaker from Singapore and is a veteran Filmmaker residing in the Bay Area, to share his thoughts on filmmaking and give us behind the scenes insights on his own film, Cold Pressed.
