We’ll tie it all back to biblical prophecy, peel back the conspiracy layers without losing our footing in faith, and end with a call to prayer and discernment. Let’s get into it. 

Good morning, friends, and welcome to the very first episode of From Dawn to Doctrine: Unscripted. Where we embark on a journey through the headlines of our world—not to sow fear, but to shine the light of Scripture on the shadows. In these uncertain times, as the dawn breaks on another week of global upheaval, we remember the words of Psalm 46: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.”

This show is about viewing current events through an orthodox Christian lens—conservative in our fidelity to timeless truths, yet calling all to repentance and unity in Christ, without division or condemnation. We’ll cover the big stories from around the world and here at home, unpacking them biblically, exploring hidden motivations that echo through history, and always pointing back to the hope of Christ’s return. No despair here, only a reminder: this world is not our home. We’re pilgrims, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

This week has been seismic, from dramatic shifts in Latin America to rising tensions on our own streets, and simmering conflicts across the globe. We’ll dive in, but first, let’s pray: Heavenly Father, grant us wisdom to discern the times, courage to speak truth, and hearts full of hope in Your sovereign plan. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

 Today we explore one of the most beloved figures in Christian history: Saint Francis of Assisi. Known as the Poverello—the Little Poor Man—Francis radically embraced the Gospel, founding orders that transformed the Church, receiving the sacred stigmata, and composing poetry that praises God through all creation. His life is a tapestry of joy, suffering, conversion, and profound love for Christ and His creatures. 

 With season 2 coming to a close I just wanted to thank you all for the support the subs and all the positive feedback. I am truly grateful to have seen this podcast reach all corners of the world and I hope that some positive knowledge has come from this as you start or continue your journey with Christ. That being said there are some big changes happening in the household that will take a big chunk out of my time to write and prepare for each episode.

As someone passionate about sharing the truths of scripture, my aim is to keep this accessible and engaging, especially for those of you new to faith or just beginning to dive into the Bible. We’ll unpack 2 Chronicles step by step, highlighting its main message while weaving in deeper spiritual insights. 2 Chronicles is not just a record of Judah’s kings; it is a passionate call to the post-exilic community to seek the Lord wholeheartedly, to revive true temple worship, and to trust that sincere repentance always brings restoration—because God is gracious and merciful to those who turn to Him. 

Tonight there is no single icon. There is only a vast expanse of desert, and upon it, thousands of small, weathered photographs that have become icons: charcoal drawings on cave walls, faded frescoes in abandoned churches, and the memory etched into the sand itself. They are the Desert Fathers (and Mothers), the ones who, in the words of Saint Athanasius, “made the wilderness a city.”

The root cause of sin is selfishness.

There is not a single sinful act that can’t be rooted back to selfishness.

The act in the garden was driven by selfishness, and to this day the snake sells us all the same lie.

“Love thyself,” “do as thou wilt”—this is literally the slogan of the Church of Satan.

Our society, which is built upon a system, is in itself satanic and selfish.

This goes deeper than we all think if you root sin in selfishness.

You start to truly change when you practice selflessness and turn away from selfishness.
