She Doesn't Settle

34: 40 Lessons Over 40 Years

Listen Later

I’m turning 40 (today!) and in the midst of everything going on globally - I almost forgot. Thinking back to the start of the year, I had big plans to do 40 things by the time this occasion came around, but have since found that the events of the past 6 months have altered some of the plans I made back then. Instead, after much reflection, I have turned my focus to the many lessons I have learned in my 40 years, and today I share 40 of them with you.

In addition to highlighting each of these lessons, I also provide a brief overview of its impact and value. I also explore how and why many of these lessons came about, the fact that many still require work, the length of time necessary to learn some of these, and how our thinking impacts virtually all of them. Together, we’ll also look at the fact that so many of them are particularly valuable during our current shared situation, and that a common theme runs through all of them. While this was a fun exercise for me to undertake, it has also proven to be a beneficial consolidation of all that I have learned, and consequently taught, over the years, and I know it will prove valuable for you as well. During a time when circumstances cause so many of us to turn inward and focus on the negative, I invite you instead to join with me today in this celebration of our accomplishments and of lessons learned which move us forward in a positive direction.

For one more week I’m offering a free 30 minute Mind Your Health coaching call which you can learn more about here: http://www.kellytravis.net/mind-your-health
