A Buffer is something external that we use to change or avoid how we feel.
When we get in the habit of using false pleasures or buffers daily, we rob ourselves of the full human experience, miss out on progress, and ultimately stunt our own capabilities and progress.
One of the ways we can experience greater confidence and control over our lives is by noticing our personal buffers and considering how our lives might change for the better if we were to consider trading in false pleasures and replace them in ways that will support long-lasting well-being.
