Did you eat? In Black and Brown households, food isn’t just food it’s love, protection, memory, and legacy. When Grandma piles your plate high or mamá asks “¿ya comiste?” for the third time, that’s generations of care speaking. Feeding is a love language passed down through survival, celebration, and community.

But what happens when that same love language gets complicated? When feeding shifts from nurturing to controlling? When partners use food as comfort, obligation, or even manipulation?
