Growth is messy. It’s non-linear. Sometimes, it doesn’t even make sense.

I’m moving through a pretty big growth portal at the moment and wanted to share it with you. My intention in sharing is that, by illustrating what this looks like for me, it helps you through one of your own growth portals.

An Ego Death is when part of our old personality, a part we may have created to obtain love, attention, or to keep us safe, starts withering away. These last few weeks, I’ve noticed a big shift in what was formerly a strong element of my personality. It drove so much, from how I showed up in meetings to my podcast and social media content.

Now, those former motivations aren’t there anymore, but the new hasn’t officially taken hold yet. I’m in that uncomfortable chrysalis phase, rearranging myself and patiently waiting to see what comes next.
