Happy Thanksgiving Week!
I know the topic of "Thankfulness" is super cliché to talk about but I hope you will still hit play. I promise there will be some amazing takeaways and new perspectives that will encourage you. The topic came fresh to me after going to a Mom's morning at our church and some of the older Mom's encouraged us younger Mom's on this topic. I left feeling so glad I went and very encouraged by the conversations we had.
The opposite of thankfulness really manifests itself into a whole slew of things like: discontentment, selfishness, emptiness, anxiousness, overwhelm, negativity, depression, etc. YIKES! I don't want to live a life like that and I am sure you don't either. I am in the thick of Motherhood as many of you, I know, are as well...little people are A LOT. It sounds so easy to be grateful but if we take a step back and really assess our hearts, our minds, and our days, are we really being that grateful? I know I'm not, and I'm a pretty optimistic, positive, happy person. Becoming a Mom of multiple littles has drastically affected my emotions and personality and I have to fight the battles every day of how I choose to respond to everything that comes by way. Us Mom's have a pretty powerful impact in our homes, we set the tone and that is a HUGE responsibility.
God has so much for us and it's right here in front of us. We must choose to be thankful for good and the hard because we weren't promised all good. Let thankfulness overflow into your Motherhood Journey and may it fill you up so you feel less empty inside. You are put in this role for a reason and it has much to teach us.
Here is the book recommendation I gave at the end. Let me know if you read it! I'd love to hear your takeaways as I will be re-reading this myself.

Wishing you all a rich and joyous Thanksgiving,
