Emajin Golf: Beyond the 19th

#34 Todd Scarce - Targeted Results

Listen Later

In this week's episode of the Emajin podcast, Beyond the 19th, we take a healthy approach with Todd Scarce, COO of Kieser Australia. Todd shares his passion for physiotherapy, the importance of strength training, and setting up a holistic approach to building and maintaining muscle mass to help you play golf pain-free and injury-free while adding an extra 30 meters to your drive... or thereabouts.

With over 30 centers, Kieser attracts people committed to outcomes. It is based on the elite sports model, offering the triage of physiotherapy, rehab, and strength training. Exercise scientists work with physios and trainers to create a client-targeted program to manage pain, post-surgical rehab, and strengthening for overall health, enabling everyone to succeed at the activity they love.

Only 5% to 10% of the Australian population perform consistent strength training each week - Todd is passionate about creating awareness to prevent muscular strength deterioration that causes aches, pains and impacts performance - the message:

  • Strength training is like brushing your teeth—you brush your teeth daily to maintain dental health; strength training at least twice a week enables your body to maintain and increase muscle health
  • Consider supervision for the effectiveness of your exercise; naturally, you will work harder and use the right technique, which is critical
  • Gym equipment has transformed - you can work the muscle efficiently to fatigue without excessive repetitive rounds.

So listen and get started on your journey. You might surprise yourself with improved golf results and a boost of confidence after 18 holes.

Have you told us who your dream four-ball group would be? Todd has.
