God ALWAYS leads us to victory… and that victory ALWAYS leads His people back to HIM.
Today's teaching builds upon Episode 346 from last week, as God continues to reveal a timely message to His people in this new year. Kim previously addressed God's call to action for His people to "come out" from Paul's second letter to the Corinthians: "Therefore come out from them, and be separate from them, says the Lord,…" 2 Cor 6:17
In today's episode, Kim further breaks down God's message into three (3) areas that ultimately will lead us back to Him.
Consider the remnant of Israelites that were exiled in Babylon. God prophesied through Jeremiah for Israel and Judah to repent and to seek the Lord. God established an everlasting covenant with Israel, and He was honoring it. Like lost sheep, God's chosen people had been led astray by their shepherds. Judgment against Babylon was coming, and God commanded His people to "come out" and save themselves, for they had not been forsaken by God.
God warned Israel that something was about to happen to Babylon. In a similar way, the angels warned Lot about the destruction that would befall Sodom and Gomorrah. Paul was also warning the church at Corinth. God's command was the same: COME OUT from among them.
When you look at examples in both the Old and New Testament, God provides a warning whenever He was about to bring judgment upon a nation or land, and God's mercy always follows His judgment.
God is concerned for His people, and He is urging you today to:
COME OUT… from a lifestyle of sensual gratification and fleshly pleasures; a lifestyle of unrestrained desired of the mind and materialism; and, a lifestyle of ego gratification (preserving self)
COME ON… God is urging us to come out, and He has compassion and understanding for His people. When you are willing to come out, God will provide a way.
COME IN… God wants is to come into His REST. The Sabbath was made for us -- to rest, to be set apart, and to receive.
Is something about the happen in the world today?
Is God warning us today of impending judgment the same way He had done in the past?
Either way, He is commanding you to come out, come on, and come in to His rest.
