When a student picks up a tray of food at the school cafeteria, that meal didn't just magically appear from a microwave oven. It takes months of planning for menus, ingredients, and storage to make school breakfast and lunch happen every day for 180 days a school year!

Dr. Finch sits down with Joan Chiarello, the Director of DVUSD's Food & Nutrition department to learn more about how meals go from "farm to table" nearly 22,000 times a day and almost 4 million times a year in DVUSD schools.
