As complementary and holistic therapists it’s in our nature to look after others, but do you look after yourself as much as you encourage your clients to look after themselves?
This week on Four Therapists and a Chit Chat we’re talking about the importance of self-care, and how easy it is to forget to look after ourselves and instead focus on others, using every other spare moment we have on our businesses.
We look at little ways you can adapt self-care habits you already have, such as sleeping or having haircuts, into moments of joy, moments to breathe, and moments to just be. We also explore how the simple act of diarising activities that have nothing to do with your business but everything to do with your health and well-being, and writing them in pen can help you step away from your business and create some much needed ‘me-time’.
Bonus material this week include tips from Amanda and Nicky about how to deal with ulcers and how to keep your mattress fresh!
So have a listen and see if you’re as guilty as we are of using haircuts as a chance to catch up with emails, or pretending an afternoon at the beach is a chance to relax when really all we’re thinking about are inspirational pictures we can take for our social media!
Much love, Sarah, Nicky, Millie and Amanda
