By Talking about the business of complementary therapies over a nice cuppa!
The podcast currently has 52 episodes available.
This week I'm taking a quick look at how to rebook your clients, and why you should always ask clients when they'd like to come - or even better, tell them! It's not rocket science as it only involves asking them a simple question, but what you might have to get past is the fear of asking! I'll tell you why you shouldn't be scared, and I'll give you some suggestions about what you might like to say.
As always, get in touch if you've enjoyed the podcast, or if you've got a question about growing your holistic and complementary therapy business - [email protected], or you can find me on Instagram at @sarahwoodhousetherapy and @sarahwoodhousesupport.
Much love, Sarah
This weeks blog is in response to a question received from a lovely Reflexologist down in West Sussex. She says, "My question is about friends that become clients and how to navigate the situation where they feel entitled to freebies or think that the cancellation policy doesn’t apply to them as they’re your friend."
I’m going to explore what you can do to address situations like these, and how to stop them happening again in the future.
As always, please drop me a line at [email protected] if you've got any questions, or if you've got a topic you'd like me to cover.
Much love, Sarah x
Late arrivals, cancellations and no shows are something that crop up all the time on Facebook forums and when I talk to therapists. In this episode I'll explore what you might want to do when a client arrives late, cancels their appointment last minute - or even worse, fails to turn up.
As always, please drop me a line at [email protected] if there's anything you'd like me to do a podcast on!
This week I'm looking at special offers and discounts and whether or not they're really good for business. There seems to be an assumption that they're something we should offer as a matter of course - but (no surprises here) I disagree!
As always I'm here to answer any questions, and love to hear what you think of the podcast so far...it's nice to know I'm talking to at least someone!
Much love, Sarah

Are you feeling overwhelmed by social media? Perhaps you're finding it too much, perhaps you haven't started because it's already making you feel anxious? This weeks podcast is all about managing social media the way you want to - not the way you're told you should. Remember, this is your holistic and complementary business, this is your health and wellbeing.
As always drop me a line if you're a Reflexologist, Reiki practitioner or Bowen therapist and you have any questions - you can reach me at [email protected], or if you're on social media you can find me @sarahwoodhousesupport and @sarahwoodhousetherapy (oh the irony - I need to give one of these accounts up!).
You can find the '12 weeks of marketing content' sheet on my website at: https://sarahwoodhousesupport.podia.com/resources, and it will give you 25 social media posts plus lots of ideas of how you can use those posts for other marketing content, for example blogs, websites, leaflets etc.
In this weeks podcast I take a look at why thinking like a hairdresser could be really a great way for you to grow your holistic and complementary therapy business the way you want to.
Email me at [email protected] and let me know how you got in if you tried any of the tips - or if you'd like to suggest a topic for the next episode!
Have a great Easter, much love, Sarah x
This week I've got a very special guest - the lovely Nicky Newton who many of you may remember as one of my co-presenters on Four Therapists and a Chit Chat! Our subject this week is all about outsourcing the stuff you're not great at and why it makes perfect business sense to be focusing on treating your clients rather than spending all day crafting a newsletter you still hate at the end of the day!
As always, drop me a line to let me know if you found the podcast useful and if you've got any burning questions or topics you'd like me to cover!
Much love, Sarah x
Following on from last weeks episode where I talked about the need to make sure you work within the Advertising Code when it comes to using client reviews, Karen Davison has asked,
"How can you really get across to future clients that Reflexology is for them? Someone may be looking for support with menopause, backpain etc. and may look for those words when searching [online] to support what they need. How can we reach those people if we can only say ‘supports wellbeing, aids sleep, helps relaxation, releases tension'?"
So this weeks episode is all about how you can get those keywords into your marketing without breaking any rules.
If you've got any questions or topics you'd like me to cover in future episodes then please email me at [email protected], you can follow me at @sarahwoodhousesupport, and of course there are loads of great support tools at: https://sarahwoodhousesupport.podia.com/.
See you next week!

Thank you so much for all the lovely feedback on the last episode - it really means a lot. This weeks Complementary Drinks episode focusses on client reviews, also called testimonials - how to get them and how to use them.
