With the summer holidays in full swing, how are your bookings?  August can often (not always) be a quiet month so this week we talk about proactive things you can do during the quiet times to help bolster your business such as courses, developing support packages for local businesses, working with kids and participating in events.

This week we're talking about booking systems vs. paper diaries, cancellation policies and how we enforce them, and whether or not we take deposits.  Millie gets confused about sausages, Amanda turns the tables on Sarah, and although Nicky is still obsessing about Stationary she persuades us all to give technology another chance when it comes to managing our appointments.

We're four therapists practising Reflexology, Bowen Therapy and Reiki who come together each week to talk about what life is like being a holistic therapist - the ups, the downs, the highs and the lows! 

This week we continue with last weeks theme which was all about how hard it can be to set up your own holistic therapy business. We start by talking about money and why setting realistic financial targets is important, and end up talking about how important it us to know why you’ve become a therapist, the important role time has to play as a resource in your business, and why confidence, hard work and determination are key to growing your therapy business the way you want to.

Next week: diaries vs booking systems, cancellation policies and enforcing it, taking deposits and payments are all on the agenda. As always, let us know your thoughts and we’ll try and include them in the podcast!
