What do all of these expressions have in common? SELF
In today's episode, Kim continues to describe Satan's deception and the truth about this fallen world. She poses a thought-provoking question for Christians: Are you trying to be like God?
At some point in our lives, we have been lied to and ALL have lied. However, we know from the Bible that the god of this world is Satan. Satan deceives the WHOLE WORLD… that includes you and me. Put your pride aside. If you are conforming to this world, you are accepting the lies of the evil one.
When confronted by the truth, it compels a response from everyone. No response IS a response. As a believer in Christ, is the price of truth too great a price to pay in this lifetime? Are you believing the lies of this world that you can be like God? Remember this, that our works over the span of our lives (after having professed Jesus Christ) will be evaluated. It's inevitable.
Recap 4 Take-aways of Truth in scripture:
What IS the lie??? We can be like God!SELF over dependency on God. That is the lie, and the world is all about you taking control of your own lives to your heart's desire. Many Christians are operating under the forbidden knowledge (the occult) of good and evil and don't even know it. EVERYTHING in this world serves the lie, and that includes the religious systems promoting Christianity.
God is NOT asking you to change the world. God is asking us to allow HIM to change us… so that the relationships HE's given us to influence can have the opportunity to come out of this world and be separated.
So, how are you trying to be like God? Here are ten (10) things to consider:
"… and those the use the world as though they did not make full use of it. For this world in its current form is passing away." 1 Cor 7:31
"… for everything in the world -- the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, and the pride of one's possessions -- is not from the Father, but is from the world. And the world with its lust is passing away. But the one who does the will of God remains forever." 1 John 2:16-18
If God has declared that this present world is passing away, then why would we try to interfere or change what God has decreed, rather than come out from among what has been condemned… and be separate?
2 Cor 2:14; 2 Cor 6:17; Rev 18.4; 2 Cor 4:4; Rev 12:9; Matt 24:24; 1 Thess 2:9-10; John 17:17; 2 Cor 11:12-15; Gen 3:3-4; Rom 6:12-13; 1 Cor 7:31; 1 John 2:16-18
