Have you ever had goals set for a certain time? Like wanting to get fit in time for summer, or wanting to lose some extra weight for a wedding. Finally the day comes, then what? Are you done? Do you move on to the next goal and forget about it?
Realistically goals should be something that we feel inner inspiration for, and are things that motivate you for the right reasons. Sometimes we get so caught up in a specific reason, we don't dig deep to find out why we want that goal or what's really keeping us from achieving it. When you look inside of yourself, you need to ask why you really want what you are aiming for. Chances are there is something much deeper.
Our guest today, Bryan Falchuk, struggled with this exact scenario. Growing up, Bryan turned to food for emotional support without realizing it was the reason for his weight gain. Later in life, he found himself faced with making life changes to be the kind of father he wanted to be for his son. After this realization, Bryan started taking small actionable steps daily to get him on track to being in the emotional place he needed to be. Ultimately, he discovered his own inner motivation to live a life of better mental and physical health.
Bryan wrote the amazing book, Do a Day, which helps you learn how to make each day count towards your goal of living a better life. This novel helps you free yourself from the judgment of yesterday and remove the pressures of tomorrow.
