Dr. Brendan Talwar and Dr. Chris Malinowski are marine scientists who have collaborated for more than a decade on conservation, fieldwork, and science communication. Brendan is a National Geographic Explorer and postdoctoral scholar at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and Chris is the Director of Research & Conservation at the Ocean First Institute. Together, they formed Team Shark Docs, a partnership focused on shark and ray conservation through scientific research, public outreach, and media projects. Their joint work includes the Netflix project “All the Sharks,” where they set out to document as many shark species as possible while supporting ocean conservation organizations.
