Today's Guest is Barbara Tanze, a world-class opera singer and breathing and voice coach. Breathing is the only essential body function that is conscious as well as unconscious. And you CAN improve how you breathe to improve your health and help live a better, healthier life. Ever since I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, I wondered if there were strategies to improve my breathing so that I could maintain health, wellness and performance. After talking to Barbara, I learned that much of what I was doing was good, but there is so much more that I need to know. My biggest takeaway from our conversation was that we should be more concerned about breathing efficiency, versus capacity or strength.
