Mat and Kelly are the parents of Charlotte O’Brien, who at 12yrs of age, tragically took her own life in September 2024 after being bullied online and offline. Charlotte’s parents played a pivotal role in the 36 Months movement to raise the age of social media citizenship to 16. 

Charlotte had one final wish - to share her story and put an end to the relentless bullying that has taken far too many young lives already. It’s in that spirit that Mat and Kelly bravely share Charlotte’s story.

With nearly three decades of expertise, Dr Danielle Einstein is a renowned authority on the intersection of technology and mental health. An Adjunct Fellow at Macquarie University, she actively researches the connection between device use and wellbeing. She has authored two books on the subject; Raising Anxiety and The Dip, and she provided critical evidence at the Australian Parliament’s Senate Inquiry into the Social Media Age legislation. 

Dr Jim Hungerford is the CEO of the Butterfly Foundation, a national charity for anyone in Australia impacted by eating disorders and body image issues, as well as the families, friends and communities who support them.
