After Greg Hall, M.D. started volunteering in his community, he was tapped by the Governor's office to join the Ohio Committee on Minority Health. That was the beginning of his growing expertise on the health disparities between African-Americans and other racial groups. Reading research study after research study, he noticed a correlation between the nutritional deficits most common among African-Americans and the diseases that have the most devastating impacts on Black life expectancy. His research lead to the creation of Sequence Multi-Vitamins specifically designed to enhance African-American health.

His book, Patient-Centered Care for African-Americans is a trailblazer in providing guidance to doctors, medical school students and hospital residents. A second edition is already being prepared. Most recently, Dr. Hall was named Medical Director of University Hospital's Cutler Center for Men and will oversee a multidisciplinary approach to improving all men's health. Dr. Hall and his wife Melanie have three adult children.

How often have you come across a male nurse African-American nurse? Not so often, right? Demarcus Stevenson assures me there are plenty around when the National Black Nurses Association hosts a gathering.

Demarcus is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (D.N.P.), after earning his B.S. in Nursing and M.S. in Nursing and Healthcare Administration. He has over sixteen years as a practicing nurse specializing in Surgery. He currently works as a circulating nurse in the operating room.

Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Demarcus studies and resides in California's Bay Area.

Raised in Temple Hills, Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C, a young Eric Archer frequently visited the Smithsonian museums. He fondly remembers standing underneath an iconic (now defunct) whale exhibit at the Museum of Natural History. It left quite an impression. He's now a Marine Biologist based in San Diego where he researches whale family genetics and taxonomy. He also loved visiting the National Air and Space Museum. Yep, he's also a pilot. And a 3rd Degree Black Belt. And plays bass. A few of his other hobbies include sailing, kayaking, scuba diving, woodworking, camping and hiking. He also drops a few jokes here and there, so maybe comedian is his next opportunity to test the limits of mastery.

John Wayne S., III got his start as a Production Assistant for George Tillman's first film, Scenes of the Soul. Two decades later, he's a filmmaker in his own right, with two films scheduled to release this year. Before starting Londyn Town Pictures (formerly JWS Productions, Inc.), John also worked in the music industry. He started off  producing music videos. From there he became publicist for Grammy nominated music producer Steve "Silk" Hurley. Starting off with little experience as a publicist, he climbed to the position of Director of A&R where he groomed artists and opened offices in both Japan and the United Kingdom. His film Ebony Hustle was released this past December.

He's an Army Veteran, Veteran Advocate, Serial Entrepreneur, and Motivational Speaker.  As a Certified Veteran Recruiter, he was recognized by Michelle Obama for his work launching and leading Teach For America's Veteran recruitment initiative "You Served For America, Now Teach For America."  He recruited top military professionals and veterans globally to join the ranks of TFA, ultimately quadrupling the number of veterans joining the corps.

The lifespan of a dollar in the Black community is about six hours. Melvin Graham is committed to extending that time and to the economic empowerment of Black businesses and the Black community. His media production company is set to release the Black Business Los Angeles series documenting LA's Black business scene on Amazon Prime this September. This is no surprise since his favorite books are Alex Haley's The Autobiography of Malcolm X and PowerNomics by Claud Anderson.

After working in radio and television, Melvin recognized his interest in camera work and production. His company, Render Squad Industries, LLC has provided film production services throughout Southern California.
