I live in Texas where we're starting to get 100° days as summer is just around the corner.

But no problem, right? That's why we have air conditioning.

Well... until your air conditioning unit decides to stop working.

That's what happened over the weekend. I had to cancel a class I was doing because it was too hot to record.

But no problem, right? We'll just have someone out to fix the air conditioning unit!

Well... until you realize that it just so happened to be a holiday and all the businesses are closed.

If you've been to Texas before, you know that having a broken AC unit is no trivial thing. I won't exaggerate by saying it's a "life and death" matter, but it can be pretty miserable.

We ended up sleeping downstairs on the couch where it was cooler.

Today, Ben and I were scheduled to record our podcast like we normally do, but we ended up canceling. We're still trying to get someone out today to fix our air conditioning.

Now, I'm sure by the time you hear this, everything will be fine, but I wanted to talk about how I stay productive even when things don't go according to plan.
