On the gridiron, Houston edged Shannon in a defensive slugfest (6:47), and Dy'Lan Johnson led Baldwyn to a Skunk Bowl victory (8:19).

Looking ahead to Week 3, Shannon will try to bounce back with a trip to Pontotoc (9:29) in what will be a very soggy affair. Unbeaten Myrtle(!) will host Belmont (11:33), and West Point looks for its first win of the season against Noxubee County (13:36).
