After becoming Miss USA in 1972 from Arizona, her first ‘Hollywood break’ came when she was hired as the last ‘Ding-A- Ling Sister’ on “THE DEAN MARTIN TV SHOW”! Later, she went on to star opposite Stacy Keach as ‘Velda’, his witty, sexy secretary in “MICKEY SPILLANE’S MIKE HAMMER” on CBS TV. That’s when she came a brunette for 5 years.
Some of her TV Credits include: Bonnie Robertson in“DALLAS”, Maybelle Tillingham, the Switchboard Operator, in “DUKES OF HAZZARD”, and Rocket in“VEGAS”, all recurring roles. Guest-starred on “LAVERNE AND SHIRLEY”, “LOVE BOAT”, “STARSKY & HUTCH”, and “SANFORD & SON”, to name a few. Her favorite movie role was starring as ‘Jean Harlow’ in “HUGHES & HARLOW, ANGELS IN HELL”.
In 2007, after raising 3 children with actor/singer, Mayf Nutter, she came out of retirement to re-unite with Michelle Dellafave (Ding-A-Ling Sister) to perform in a new duo called, “Blue Eyed Soul” for the Vietnam Veterans! It has been a rewarding ministry!
She came out of retirement again to Co-Star as Mayor Aurora Cox in a new movie, “CHARLIE’S CHRISTMAS WISH” by Blue Heron Films/Jill Frost Films, distributed by Lions Gate in 2020.
