She holds a master's degree in gerontology with a specialization in trauma-informed care, elder mediation: intergenerational conflict resolution and guardianship issues, and contributed to research on sexuality in long-term care at Kansas State University's Center on Aging. Her expertise bridges clinical practice and family dynamics, making her a trusted resource for providers navigating complex care conversations.

Many are packed with solar lights, water storage and purification equipment, thermal blankets, and cooking utensils. Depending on need, the organization may deliver ShelterKits, smaller aid packages that include tools, ropes, and heavy tarpaulins used to provide emergency shelter and repair damaged structures.
