Bruce and I discuss mutual Cali friends, his upbringing in South Africa, meeting his wife in the UK and moving to California shortly after, befriending a hoarder who left his entire collection of 50,000 records to Bruce, PTSD, SSRIs, and the ways in which "story culture" can lead us to believe our lives will be a lot more exciting than they end up being, amongst other things.
