Happy Friday, squad! Today, we're welcoming on my brother, who is a personal trainer that has niched down into training exclusively women. In this episode, we discuss the nature of training women specifically, and address some of the common concepts in the gym community ā words such as "toning" (like, what does that even mean?), lightly discuss disordered eating & negative "fitness" goals (like simply being "small" or "thin"), and more. We also address some polls we ran on Instagram to see what YOU guys thought about health (do you avoid the weight section at the gym, are you afraid to look 'bulky', how have you overcome negative body image, etc.) and share our thoughts on the results.
Jameson also discusses some of the things he learned being a fitness-industry entrepreneur and what he learned about training women which offers valuable insight into how women tend to think about fitness and some of the roadblocks they face.
