We are staying in LA for Christmas this year. Gena's parents will visit us for a few days. The house is ready, Richie has baked german Christmas cookies and Gena can't wait for the big feast. Listen in what has happened the past weeks. A few updates and why Richie has to get a MRI on friday night.
Recipe for Nussecken:
Dough
300g flour
100g sugar
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
2 Egg yolks
Topping:
200g Butter (warm)
4 Tbsp water
200g Sugar
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
400g crushed Hazelnuts
Layer inbetween:
1 Glas of Apricot jam
bake on 175-200 °C for 20-30min.
let it cool down, then cut in triangles, dip every triangle in melted chocolate and place them on a big sheet to rest.
