The defamatory New York Times hit piece by Jeremy Peters about "coronavirus doubters" includes deceptively edited quotes, at least nine false statements about me, and violated the NYT code of ethics. But when the newspaper was flagged to the issues, instead of correcting them, editor Carolyn Ryan said they were justified... because I reported factually correct information about who is at highest risk. Ryan says viewers might use those facts the wrong way, so those particular facts should not be reported. But it turns out my reporting mirrored what all public health experts, studies and other media-- including The New York Times-- reported, too. Read the legal letter sent to the NYT pointing to their many errors.
Also on this podcast, we look at similarities among and differences between coronavirus, flu and the common cold as reported by medical experts.
