Brandon Kolb was born on Tuesday, November 20, 1973, in Oakland, California. At 26 years old he broke into the big leagues on May 12, 2000, with the San Diego Padres. His life as a professional baseball player was seriously affected by his numerous illnesses, but he went on achieve great success.
