At dawn the scouts returned. Huang Tianhua was dead. Nuh-zhah and Lei Zhenzi were missing. Hwung Fay Hoo fainted with grief. Nan Gongshi advised him, “Do not drown in sorrow. Gao Jinen fights with wasps. Only Chong-Ho-Hoo can break that trick. Go ask him for help.” Hwung Fay Hoo left at once for Chong City.

In Chong City, Chong-Ho-Hoo heard that Huang Tianhua had been killed and grew angry. “Then we fight Kong Xuan together,” he said. “After the win we go on to Mengjin.”
