July was Disability Awareness Month. Today’s guest is a member of that community who speaks about his experiences.

Joseph Ellison tells us his courageous story that includes the early death of his mother, being adopted by his parents, and his diagnosis of slight “mental retardation” as a child along with ADHD in the early 90s (now changed to intellectual disability) along with the challenges and triumphs he has faced in an unforgiving world.
