Episode 39: What We Got Right in the Workplace in 2021

In this episode, Dr. Janel looks back on the year 2021 and culls out the things workplaces got right during the year. While everyone thought the tumultuous year of 2020 would make 2021 feel like a new start, the actual year played out very differently. Dr. Janel acknowledges a few things that really haven’t been addressed in the workplace and aren’t working at all. Then she explores three areas in which organizations are starting to get it right. Those three areas are appreciation and recognition; taking seriously diversity, equity, and inclusion; and an improvement in how we work from home. She notes that there is still work to be done in all three areas, but these are some positive highlights of 2021.
