There is some notable football news this week. Tupelo running back J.J. Hill was named to an All-American team (1:29) following his stellar junior season. Michael Gray, who coached Baldwyn to the Class 1A title this past fall, has announced his retirement (2:50).

On the hardwood, 10 area players were selected to play in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Basketball Games (3:52). One of those players selected is Jade Rucker, who returned from an injury on Saturday to lead No. 1 Tupelo past No. 2 Tishomingo County (5:19). Also that day, Booneville's boys rolled past Baldwyn to capture the Prentiss County Tournament title (7:08). Brad also has a report on Biggersville's region-clinching win over Thrasher on Tuesday (8:33).
