On Saturday, October 28, 2023 the 39th Annual Man Against Horse Race will take place again and racers are invited to participate. In 1983 Man Against Horse began with a bar bet on Whiskey Row in Prescott, Arizona between Gheral Brownlow and Cowboy Steve Rafters. Gheral bet Steve he could outrun his horse in race.
