Of the artists who inspired the launch of 3am Recordings, Miles Hollway & Elliot Eastwick are probably those who are at the top of the chart; initially producing as the superb Salt City Orchestra with Si Brad, then latterly as Reset, with Merlin, providing yet more absolutely outstanding deep vibes. I've already recorded 'A Nod to Salt City Orchestra', so felt it was time to do 'A Nod To Reset', as their tracks remain regular features in my sets to this day. Those familiar with their vinyl will understand the reason behind the artwork used for this mix.... My first "Nod to...." mix of 2023 is one I wanted to do last year, but just never got around to recording it for one reason or another, so as I had some time today, I've put together a mix featuring vinyl releases courtesy of the always-excellent @ion-ludwig - I've been buying Ion's stuff for ages now & the unpredictability is what I really love - totally leftfield oddness, chunky deep grooves, bleepy club cuts - you can essentially expect anything when you pick up one of his 12"s. I hope this mix showcases his quality, if you don't already know his work, these are taken from my favourite releases of his, so get stuck in & enjoy the vibes. As usual, not everything is perfect here, but it's recorded with two decks, a 2-channel rotary mixer & no effects to mask anything, so any slight adjustments are left in for human realness :)

This is a section of my set from Distrikt in Leeds on Fri 21st October 22, I was doing a long warm up, this is the last couple of hours - you'll notice a change in tempo around 1hr 10mins, this is when an imposter came into the booth hassling us & we were getting rid of him, so didn't have time to actually get the mix sorted, so just hit play! As I'd agreed to hand over to the next DJ with the Plastikman remix of Robotman "Do Da Doo" at the end of my set, it probably helped that the tempo went up a bit anyway :) Anyway, this is all-vinyl, covers old and new bits, hope you dig it!
