The General Secretary for the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches, Rev. Emmanuel Barrigah spoke on Onua FM’s Yen Sempa hosted by Bright Kwasi Asempa on Tuesday on three different issues as far as the church is concerned.

These issues were, the Christian Council of Ghana advice to the government not to go ahead with its plan to mine bauxite in the Atiwa forest. Secondly, Parliaments intention to investigate and prescribe regulation on church activities in Ghana and thirdly, Ghana churches on alert for terrorists.

A reporter at Akoma FM in Kumasi, Kwame Baffour Agyekum on Onua FM’s Yen Sempa hosted by Bright Kwasi Asempa, has confirmed that the two Canadian ladies who were kidnapped a week ago have been rescued.

He said the rescue by the National Security and the Ghana Police Service took place early today morning of which 14 individuals been apprehended. “12 of the arrested individuals are Ghanaians and the other 2 are Nigerians,” he added.

He further spoke on the sanitation situation at Kumasi when the host questioned him on that. He said, “the situation at the moment is very poor”.
